Our Vegetable Garden

I'm so happy that we finished making our garden. This was truly a family affair. I hope my Bluemom's green thumb rubbed off on me. We planted tomatos, cucumbers, squash, bell peppers, and serano chiles! The kids loved the entire experience. I am thrilled to be able to do this with them!























You would think Jeremy could take a pix of me with my eyes open but this is the only one that proves I was involved too.

Celebrating Sergio's 21st....

We went to Long Beach for the long weekend. It was so much fun. The kids loved hanging out with their cousins... so much that they didn't want to come home! Grandma Eva watched all nine grand-kids while we went out to celebrate Sergio's 21st birthday. They had a movie night with tons of popcorn.

Sophia goes out to the snow! No convincing is needed meanwhile Sebastian watches from inside the cabin...

5 more minutes!

These little kids… they’ll surprise you. Sebastian was taking a bath last night and I was ready for him to come out. So I said “ok.. one more minute.” He responds to me and says “Mommy, 3 more minutes ok?” I was pretty surprised and amused by the response so I said “ok”. Then he says “No, 5 more minutes, ok?” Hilarious... looks like he’s already trying to build up his negotiation skills!

Potty training continued

We've been distracted the last few days and have not focused 100% on Sophia's potty training. I was getting a little discouraged even though she's had overall fewer accidents than when it was Sebastian's turn last February. Tomorrow is my last day of vacation and I was wondering if we have made any progress. They took their baths and got in their PJ's... We put a diaper on Sophia. When we were sitting watching TV a little later, Sophia ran up to me and says
"potty!" Her diaper was dry and she pottied!!! Whoohoo!!!

A big day for Sophia

My baby girl is getting so big. Yesterday
was a big day for Sophia. She had her crib get converted to a big bed and she started potty training. I remember when she was just born, I miss my tiny baby but I'm so proud of my big baby girl!

Post Xmas Relaxation

Hope everyone had a great Christmas & had lots to eat. We're having a nice post Xmas day relaxing with Monica's family. Never realized how fast time flies when watcing karaoke. Here's a picture of Monica performing, she'll be coming to a town near you :-)

Santa's coming to town!

What a treat! Santa came by our house last night. He surprised us all... Sebastian heard the "ho ho ho's" coming from the backyard and when we looked, it was Santa with gifts for everyone! Sebastian and Sophia both sat on Santa's lap, told him what good kids they were, and gave him a huge hug. Jeremy and I even sat down with Santa... the kids loved it!

Good thing our great friends Renee and Baby Hunter were there to watch all the fun. Unfortunately Woody just missed Santa... he showed up right after Santa had left. I love this time of year and being able to share fun times with friends.

My first blog....

I walked into Java Makers a couple of days ago and overheard the Barista asking one of the customers, how’s your day?... Well, what a surprise to my ears… “It’s great! I’m here, standing on my two feet… nothing more I can ask for!” Wow, I thought… I need to have that kind of attitude. Then the Barista said as she handed him his coffee… “Have a nice day.” And as upbeat as you can imagine he said… “I sure will, today is what I make of it!”

He was so right.. today is what I make of it… not anyone else.
